SAREX 25-15 aims to simulate a massive rescue operation of
passengers from a ferry vessel, facing the growth of this kind of
incidents experienced in the last years.
The mass rescue operation in large passenger ships requires the
deployment of several means and resources, including the need for a
close co-operation with different local, regional and international
organizations. This exercise will make it possible:
 To increase and optimize the response and the use of the assets
available in case of any emergency involving massive operations.
 To identify and distinguish the different responsible organizations
and their response procedures.
OBJECTIVE
 To improve the interoperability and co-operation
among the different involved organizations and the
emergency plans affected.
 To provide ongoing training of the emergency staff.
 To verify and test the new technologies developed
within the activity 4 of the MONALISA 2.0 project,
focused on the operational safety.
