Special Dietary/Emotional/Behavioural Needs
We would like all our children to enjoy the Moorlands experience. In order to facilitate this, we
need to ensure that they will be happy, comfortable and safe while at camp. With the physical
limitations of the camp site and the lack of manpower needed to give adequate attention to
certain needs, it is important for us to be made aware of, and to discuss any situation that may
require special attention. These situations must not only be clearly indicated on the health form
which is brought on the day of camp, but must be disclosed at least two weeks before the start
date of camp. Please contact us before camp so that we can work together to develop a plan
to ensure that your specific needs can be met. The more specific and individualized your needs
are, the more lead time required.
Please let us know beforehand if your child has any special needs such as, but not limited to:
Autism Spectrum Disorder; ADHD; physical, behavioural and/or emotional challenges;
eating disorders; food allergies; acute or chronic illnesses. If your child needs special foods
while at camp, he/she must bring these foods to camp and inform the Commandant accordingly.
Camper Scholarships
At Moorlands, we want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to come to camp.
As such, we provide sponsorship and scholarships every year as funds allow. If you are seeking
a scholarship or sponsorship, please fill out our online Campership Request Form.
Camp Policies & Guidelines
We have a great time at camp, but we do ask that our campers follow guidelines pertaining to
dress code and conduct. A modest dress code will be enforced at Camp. Failure to comply with
camp rules may result in your child being sent home.
We have limited spaces so registrations are ordered by the time full payment is received. For
this reason among others, we only accept credit card payments. We can't hold spaces for
incomplete registrations. Supplemental camp forms will be sent to your email address once
registration is complete (health form, packing list and confirmation slip)
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
All registration fees are non-refundable. You may receive a refund of the camp fee if your child's booking
is cancelled in writing at least four weeks before the start date of the applicable camp. These
cancellation requests should be sent to [email protected]. After this deadline, refunds
will only be given if your child's space is filled by another child on the wait list for that camp.
If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] or call
964-6418, 294-6991, 294-6993 between 8:30AM and 4:00PM, Monday- Friday.
