MORVILLE GARDEN AND FLOWER FESTIVAL 2015 www.morvillefestival.co.uk A three day festival with six gardens open, a flower festival in Morville church, refreshment tent and a Monday May Day Fete with activities, stalls and entertainment. The Festival supports: The Morville Group of Churches Morville Primary school Saturday May 2nd, Sunday May 3rd, Monday Mayday Fete May 4th The Church and gardens are open every day 11am-5pm, as is the tea tent in the churchyard. Entrance to the gardens £5, to the church £2, car parking free Saturday and Sunday, £2 per car on Monday. WV16 5NB, on the A458, 3 miles west of Bridgnorth. . The theme for the flower festival in the Church this year will be ‘Going Wild’. Elizabeth Bacon will be giving flower demonstrations on Saturday at 2pm and 3pm, in the church. David Watkins, world renowned harpist, will be playing in the Church on Sunday afternoon, with copies of his CD ’The Bells of Morville’, recorded at Morville Church last year, for sale. Evensong on Sunday is at 5.30pm on with Oldbury and Quatford Choir. All weekend there will be plant stalls, Much Wenlock Books with their bookstall in the tea tent and a children’s treasure trail through the gardens. On Monday there will be a traditional Mayday Fete with fun for all - Maypole dancing, pony rides, children’s sports, and bouncy castle. Punch and Judy, face painting and craft activities under cover. A ‘Going Wild’ children’s fancy dress competition will be judged by Andrew and Polly Peters, authors of ‘The No No Bird’. There will be a ‘village of stalls’ in the churchyard selling plants, local crafts and home produce, a carthorse with brasses, a display of owls, and lively music. Book signings in the tea tent. As well as the tea tent, with sandwiches, lots of cakes and cream scones, there will be hot pork rolls and ice cream for sale. We hope to see you!
