Staff and Committee of Morwell Neighbourhood House and Learning Centre would like to know your ideas for
improving the Centre. We are always open to new concepts and will do our best to organise activities and
events that you are interested in.

Pruning Small Trees and Shrubs
Learn when and how to prune and the reasons for pruning. Learn how to remove a large branch, making cuts,
tools and equipment. You may just want to prune or deadheading of roses, or learn Espalier, Hedges and Topiary
techniques.

Grow your garden from the ground up. Learn how to grow plants from cutting or from seed. Learn the
techniques to grow hundreds of plants from just one plant. Learn grafting, layering, leaf and room cuttings for
indoor plants and garden plants.
We are a Learn Local Centre. Courses tagged with the ‘Learn Local’ Logo are subsidised by government
funding. Any eligible learners are able to take advantage of the reduced rates. Non eligible learners are
subject to full fee payments.

Beginners Computers
Equipment Bank
This is an entry level course for Basic Beginners. You will cover topics such as: What is a computer? How to
use a computer safely, logging on and off, using a mouse, a keyboard, using software applications, file
management and basic functions such as copy, cut paste, bold, underline, undo redo and zoom.
Lawn Mower FREE of charge. Petrol and safety equipment included. Lawn Mowers need to be picked up by
10am on day of booking and returned by 3pm. Bookings are essential for this service. MNHLC graciously
acknowledges St Vincent De Paul for support of this program.

Computers for the Workplace
This course is for the student who wants to update their computer skills and become ready to join the workforce.
In this course, students will use Microsoft Office 2007 suite of products including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Outlook. This course will also cover the email and calendar features. You will learn
how to effectively manage files and folders.
