Letter to Grads - Moscrop Secondary School

Parent or guardian of Grade 12 Students:
Congratulations! Your son/daughter will soon be attending the School Leaving Ceremony!
Please find below some important information pertaining to grad events.
Important dates:
May 27th 7:00p – 9:30p: School Leaving Ceremonies at Bill Copeland Sports Center. Students
who paid the $80.00 School Leaving Fee will be provided with two complimentary tickets.
Additional tickets may be purchased for $5.00 each. All tickets are available at the office from
May 13th to May 27th at 3:15p. Tickets will not be available at the door.
There will be a ceremony rehearsal for all grads planning to attend the ceremony on May 27th
during 2nd period. Students will receive their gowns/caps and additional information at this time.
Attendance at the rehearsal is mandatory.
The doors open to the Bill Copeland Center at 6:00p. Students will meet in the Burnaby Lake
Arena for marshalling at 6:00p. Please make sure that your graduates give you any purses, cell
phones, cameras, or other valuables, prior to the ceremony as they will not be able to carry
anything with them.
June 12th 6:00p – 12:00a (June 13th): Grad Dinner/Dance at the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. Due
to limited space, we will be unable to host a parent reception. We respectfully ask that parents
arrange to take photos at a separate location earlier in the evening. Graduates should arrive
between 6:00 and 6:30p, with the sit-down dinner starting at 7:00p. The dinner/dance festivities
are exclusive to Moscrop graduates.
There will be no refunds for School Leaving Ceremony. PLEASE NOTE that tickets will not be
sold at the door.

REQUEST for GUEST TICKETS
All guests attending the School Leaving Ceremonies will require a ticket. Each Grade 12
student who has paid the school leaving ceremony fee will receive 2 complimentary
guest tickets. Additional guest tickets are $5.00 each and can be purchased through the
school office by cheque or cash only. Post-dated cheques will not be accepted. Please
complete the following form for all the tickets that you will require and bring to the school
office. Tickets are available for pick up (and purchase) from May 13th to May 27th.
All tickets must be picked up at the school - no tickets will be available at
the door.
