Job Description – Executive Director
TITLE:
Executive Director
Founded in 1935, the Michigan Pupil Accounting and Attendance Association (MPAAA) has provided leadership, support and
training related to data management and education accountability in public schools within the State of Michigan.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Successfully lead MPAAA by setting and achieving strategic goals and objectives to support the mission and vision of the
organization. Provide administrative leadership to MPAAA in a way that ensures a consistent, high level of: 1.) service to
members, executive board, educational organizations; 2.) staff relationships; 3.) fiscal responsibility; and 4.) long-range planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Establish strategic direction of the association
• Provide leadership in educational program management
• Promote the association within educational organizations and state agencies
• Provide guidance to the Executive Board to drive informed decisions
• Utilize strong financial management practices to ensure long-term viability
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to work professionally, responsibly, ethically, and creatively with MPAAA Executive Board, membership, and
educational organizations
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
• Administrative and/or leadership experience
• Business management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree
• Proficient in use of technology
• Experience in pupil accounting, pupil auditing, and/or school data management
• Five (5) years of successful administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient
to perform the essential job duties
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
An exempt, at-will position subject to salary and employment schedule according to MPAAA Contract
SALARY AND BENEFITS: $65,000 - $80,000 annually

START DATE: August 3, 2015 or sooner based on availability
