THE BASICS
PRE-WALK INSTRUCTIONS
1. USE this form to record any cash/cheque pledges
you receive in person.
2. RECORD the donor’s full name (Last & First name),
address, email address, and donation amount.
3. GUARD your donation money well - keep it safe
before you hand it in.
4. POST all donations in your Fundraising Portal. Log
in, click “ENTER OFFLINE PLEDGES” and post your
pledges one by one.
NOTES TO WALKER
1. $20, FULL ADDRESS. Only donations of $20 or more
will be receipted, and we can only issue receipts when
the donor’s full name and address (including postal)
are provided.
2. EMAIL ADDRESS IS IMPORTANT. Ask your donors for
their email address, and we’ll send them an e-receipt
for tax purpose. E-receipts will be sent to you if the
donor does not provide an email address.
3. DON’T MAIL CASH. Never send cash through the mail
– please be sure to either enter the pledge online and
pay using your credit card or issue a personal cheque
payable to “RHCCC” and submit with the pledge form
(and keep the cash amount).
Before the Event
After the Event
1. REGISTER online, or print the registration form,
sign it (or have your parent/guardian sign if you
are under 18 years old) and hand in.
If you receive post-WALK cash or cheque donations
(deadline is July 11, 2015), here’s what to do:
2. READ the Walker’s rules and regulations carefully
and comply with these rules.
3. GATHER your cash and cheques together, and
match the amount of cash/cheques on your
pledge form.
4. CHECK all of your cheque donations to ensure
they are:
a) payable to “RHCCC”,
b) current-dated (or earlier), and
c) signed
5. INDICATE any donation that remains uncollected
in your pledge form by highlighting and noting it
in your form.
6. GO to RHCCC and hand in your cash (keep loose
coin in ziplock bags, or even better – convert
to paper money), cheques, and pledge form
biweekly, or follow Note # 3 above.
CHEQUES
1. MAKE SURE they are
a. made payable to “RHCCC”,
b. current-dated (or earlier), and
c. signed.
2. RECORD the donor’s full name, address,
email address, and donation amount
on a new pledge form.
3. MAIL or BRING IN PERSON the cheques and
pledge form to us before July 11, 2015:

CASH
1. RECORD the donor’s full name, address, email
address and donation amount on a new pledge
form, and either:
a. KEEP any cash amounts, and issue a personal
cheque payable to “RHCCC” (mail or deliver the
cheque & pledge form to us at address above),
OR even better
b. KEEP any cash amounts, and enter the pledge
online, then pay with your own credit card.
