Policies and Guidelines Mail, fax or bring the completed form, with payment, to the Mount's Accounting and Finance Office, Third Floor Bradley Hall, 16300 Old Emmitsburg Road, Emmitsburg, MD 21727. Students must pay at least ½ of all tuition and fees at time of registration with balance due on June 10. On or after June 8, full payment is due at the time of registration. See payment options at right. Register for housing. Complete the housing application online: www.msmary.edu/summerhousing. Payment Options Payments can be made by credit card, check or cash. Financial Aid Reduced Tuition All summer school students receive the benefit of reduced tuition. The Mount Summer tuition of $491 per credit is over 50% off the rate for courses taken during the fall and spring! Other Aid Because summer school tuition is significantly discounted from the traditional year, institutional financial aid is not available. However, students may be eligible for other forms of aid, including Federal grants and loans. You should contact the Financial Aid Office directly to discuss your eligibility. If you plan to seek financial aid for Summer 2015, please contact the Financial Aid Office by April 1. Refund Schedule Tuition: To receive a full refund of tuition, an official drop form must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office prior to the third scheduled class. Due to the concentrated schedule of classes, no refunds are made for later withdrawals. Fees: Comprehensive and administrative fees are not refundable. Room/Board: Prior to the third scheduled class meeting, room and board will be pro-rated. No refunds are made for later withdrawals. Final Exam Schedule Session 1: Monday/Wednesday Classes: Friday, June 26 Tuesday/Thursday Classes: Thursday, June 25 Session 2: Monday/Wednesday Classes: Wednesday, July 29 Tuesday/Thursday Classes: Thursday, July 30 Session 3: Friday, July 17 Summer Class Attendance Because of the compressed format of these sessions, every scheduled class is required. Do not plan to miss any classes for summer vacation or other personal events. Payment Deadlines 1st half of summer tuition/fees: Due at time of registration 2nd half of summer tuition/fees: Due by June 10, 2015 Students registering on or after Monday, June 8, 2015 must pay in full at the time of registration. 6% per Annum Finance Charge will be assessed on unpaid balance. If payment is not received by the due date, you will NOT be permitted to begin classes or move into housing. Internships May 12 - Learning Agreement deadline for C’15 graduates doing an internship to complete outstanding credits June 26 – Deadline for all other learning agreements for 2015 summer internships. Students must submit a Learning Agreement to the Career Center at least two weeks before the internship start date.
