The Northeast Regional 4-H Shooting Sports Competition was another huge success and Lowndes County once again had the most
youth entered with our youth bringing home numerous 1st - 3rd
place medals. Below are the disciplines, youth & placings they received.
10 Meter Air Rifle:

4-H Horse & Livestock News continued
Lowndes County 4-H Horse Club:
Dixie Riders Horse club will meet May 9th at the Caledonia Park at 2:00p.m.
Horse Bowl and Hippology Contest practice will be May 25th at 10:30a.m. at
Jayne Noggle’s home.
We have several youth competing in Horse Bowl, Hippology & Horse Judging this
year. If you are interested in participating in one of these events, please let me
know; I will get you signed up and practicing with the youth that are already active in
these events.
Youth that will be showing in the 2015 NE District Horse Show are Harlie Humbers, Macey Willcut, Madison Nevins, Stacey Lynn Ryals, & Lauren Revel. Good
luck to these exhibitors during the NE District Horse Show, which will be held at
the MS Horse Park in Starkville on June 10th - 13th. Those that qualify will go on
to compete at the State Horse Show in June.
Grilling Workshop - May 17th - 2:00p.m.
We will be having a 4-H grilling workshop at the home of Jayne Noggle 8515 Wolf Rd. - Columbus. This will be an introductory workshop, with
various tips such as correctly lighting a fire, in preparation for the upcoming grilling contest.
Categories include steak, hamburger, poultry, pork chops and specialty beef.
