learn at Music & Me Studios. Whether you’ve just started playing your instrument or you’ve been
playing for many years, this camp will raise your level of proficiency in music making. Everywhere
you look, you’ll find friends and instructors who share your love of music, and you won’t believe
how much your skills will improve as a result of being in this great and highly supportive
environment.
The Music Matters Summer Camp is open to all students’ ages six and up. Camp activities
will include group lessons, eurhythmics, theory classes, master classes, and music history. As we
strive for excellence, it is our goal to provide your children with the best tutelage available. This
handbook is intended to clarify our philosophy and principles, and describes the conditions under
which we provide our musical instruction for Summer Music Camp.
Beginner Piano Camp
The beginner camps are a fun and focused opportunity to study music in the summer. You will
build confidence and develop skills as you tackle challenging literature and push the boundaries of
your abilities.
Intermediate Piano Camp
Designed for the skilled and motivated young performer with at least two years of training, this
intermediate camps are an excellent summer opportunity. With group activities, performances, and
classes, you will develop your technique and grow as a performer. Learn and perform with other
students from Sumter and surrounding areas, who share your love of music.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Music & Me is to provide all students with a positive learning environment that will ensure the
understanding of the nature and structure of music. In addition, Music & Me will develop students that are
intelligent and successful performers, creators and consumers of music.

WITHDRAWAL
Withdrawals must be done in writing! You may cancel your registration for Summer Camp and receive a full
refund if the request is made prior to two weeks (May 25, 2015) before the beginning of camp. No money will
be refunded for any reason after the two week deadline. Students arriving late for camp or leaving early are not
eligible for any monetary compensation.
**We reserve the right to cancel any camp due to low enrollment; in such a case, all fees paid will be refunded
or the student can choose to apply fees to a different camp in the same year.
LUNCH
Campers will be provided with a small healthy snack. Campers with wheat allergies are advised to bring a snack
from home. We cannot guarantee a nut-free environment.
SUMMER MUSIC CAMP POLICIES
 Music and Me Studios reserves the right to close registration for classes that are filled and to cancel or
alter classes that are under registered.

Music and Me Studios reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to dismiss, without refund, a camper for
inappropriate or unsafe conduct if such dismissal is in the best interest of the camper or the camp.

Music and Me Studios reserves the right to use photographs and creative works produced during its
summer camp, without compensation, in its advertisements, publications and website.

In the event Music and Me Studios’ administration determines it is necessary or is required to close the
Studio’s premises because of inclement weather or other circumstances beyond its control, we cannot
guarantee the make-up of lost camp time. Though we may schedule make-up hours where possible, camp
time lost may be void. No refunds or credits will be issued in the event of a weather or other
uncontrollable event or closure. Schedule changes due to inclement weather will be posted on the Music
and Me Studios website and/or communicated through a recorded message on Music & Me’s main office
line at (803) 773-0055. We will also attempt to contact parents via phone so please make sure we have
your correct contact information.

comply and abide by the policies and regulations that have been given and read by me, and at this point in time
enter into agreement with Chaste’y Rayford-Gibson and Music & Me Studios for the tutelage of my child(ren)
