Teachers
include UA faculty, area professionals with advanced music degrees, graduate students, and carefully selected
undergraduate music students. The CMS offers year-round class options including Kindermusik for pre-K enrichment,
private lessons for all ages/abilities, ensembles including the Tuscaloosa Youth Orchestra, Chamber Strings, Adult
Strings or Brass Ensembles, and select chamber music trios/quartets.
PRIVATE & SHARED LESSONS: For children – adults, and beginning - advanced levels.
Lessons are available on piano, all band & orchestral instruments, guitar, ukulele, organ, voice, French,
Spanish, Chinese. Offered June – July. Cost varies according to lesson length (30, 45, 60 min), and
selected teacher. Lesson time/days are TBA with teacher. Fees listed reflect 8 private lessons. Enrolling
for more or less than 8 requires teacher approval. To prorate lesson amounts call 348-6741.

Ages 6 - 12: Musical Camp: Disney's AladdinKIDS; July 20 - 31, 9:00 - Noon, M – F.
Organizational Meeting for All (7/19, 6 p.m.). Show features many speaking parts, solos,
ensemble cast. Either boys or girls can play most of the roles. Culminates with a performance on stage
featuring songs, dialogue, costumes, staging, & accompaniment. Practice CD & T-shirt included. $175
Grades 4 – 9: Summer String Camp: June 22 - June 27, M – F, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
This camp is for students already playing violin, viola, cello, or bass. Students must be able
to read music on all four strings and play in several keys. Daily orchestra rehearsals, elective classes,
technique classes. Teacher recommendation necessary. Snack provided, bring own lunch.

Grades 6 – 12: Chamber Trios/Quartets for Int. – Adv. instrumental musicians. Grouped by ability
and instrumentation. 8 sessions, professionally coached. Day/time is TBA. $125
Ages 18 +: Adult String Classes: Must already read music & play violin, viola, cello, bass.
June 1 – July 2 $75.
