England) will give a talk on Vesalius, the “Fabrica,” and their
impact on medicine (arranged in collaboration with the
Dittrick Medical History Center.)

Andreas Vesalius was born. He
published a book in 1543 which
forever changed the way that
human anatomy is taught.
Vesalius Family Day
Saturday, January 10 | 10am - 5pm
Vesalius 500th birthday themed family day at
the museum! This is designed as a family program
to appeal to adults and children of all ages. FREE
with regular Museum admission. This will include
access to a NEW exhibition in the galleries,
Vesalius on the Verge.
The Day Will Include:
A Display of anatomical library treasures.
Special screenings of “Observation” a film
created with our Karabots Junior Fellows
Age appropriate anatomy-themed games
for children and adults of all ages.
Debut of a Vesalius-themed online component
to our digital library.
