Pastor’s
Heart
What would the church be like
where Jesus is actually the head?
Some churches use “Jesus” in their
name, but that alone does not make
them a church where Jesus is
pleased.
This spring, we will be studying
what Jesus wants in His church.
May 3-6, Dr. Jerry White from
Louisiana, will further challenge us
along this line. Dr. White is one of
the few men I have met, who has a
passion to see people become
Christ-like. Our world is becoming
more and more anti-Christian, so
there is an even greater urgency
for strong Christians!
With Christ inside me, I will be
Christ outside.

By the time you read this we will have returned from a trip to Honduras where our
Team of 9 assisted an existing church in planting a church in a village close by. Through
door-to-door evangelism and backyard Bible Clubs we hope to boost a small group that
is currently meeting in a home in the village.
Coming up in May is a trip to Moldova in conjunction with Christ Baptist Church. They
have purchased what was formerly a dairy farm with the intent of opening a Christian
Camp for children. In addition, on the property two homes for girls rescued out of
human trafficking will be built with the hope that they can assist in the running of the
camps. We will be taking another group to Moldova in July to do a Christian Camp in
another location. Watch the bulletin if you think you might be interested.
The “Deeper Life Conference” speaker will
be Jerry White. Jerry has been a pastor,
conference, and retreat speaker, author, and
has mentored many men in ministry. His 50
plus year ministry has taken him across the
United State and into foreign countries. He
resides in Denham Springs, Louisiana (near
Baton Rouge) with his wife of over 50 years.
They have a married daughter, a married son
and seven grandchildren.
MVBC invites all
fathers and their sons,
6th grade and older,
to join us for Hot
Hoops Basketball!
The spring 2015 session will be held on
Thursdays from March 12th to May 28th from
7 to 9pm. Play begins at 7pm and we’ll
conclude with the Coaches Corner, with tips
on being the husbands and fathers God desires us
to be. Put away the excuses, pull out your Bible,
sneakers, ace bandages, and braces and join the

children will be sharing in both morning services and our
evening service at 6:30pm. They will be leading music,
taking the offering, greeting and sharing testimonies.
On Sunday evening, our Son Mountain Kids Praise choir
will be sharing the musical, “God’s Not Dead”.
