April 7 Election
Results Incumbent John
Hanson won re-election as
town chairperson against Kevin
Griffith. For town board, Eric
Behnke won re-election while
incumbent Henry Bauers lost to
Chuck Rayala III, a former town
board member.
Manitowish Waters vote totals:
Town Chairman:
John Hanson: 206 (winner)
Kevin Griffith: 88
Town Supervisors:
Eric Behnke: 215 (winner)
Chuck Rayala III: 169 (winner)
Henry Bauers: 160
Boating Safety Class
is being held May 20, 26 and 27
at the North Lakeland school at
3:30 pm for $10. This is for kids
12 years old or turning 12 in
the summer. You can call

Music-In-The-Park
begins on Sunday, May 24 with
Bret & Frisk playing. On Sunday, May 31, Justin Russell will
be playing. You can dock your
boat or bring a lawn chair to
Koller Park
to enjoy

Lakeland Discovery Center is held
on Sunday, May 24 from 4:30 7:30pm. This popular “FUNraiser”
includes beverages, appetizers
and dinner.

auction. Advance reservations
required.
Lions Memorial Day
Weekend Pancake
Breakfast will occur on
Sunday, May 24 from 8am noon. All-U-Can-Eat pancakes,

Traveling Smithsonian
Exhibit runs through the month of
May at the Koller Library and Hogan’s
General Store. At
the library you can
view Pine Logs to
Woodsy Retreats, Gangster artifacts and
town history. A Fisher Price Toy Collection
is on display at Hogan’s General Store.
