What is the Tournament Format?
1. The teams will play with all other teams in their group in round robin format.
2. Each team that signs up is Summer/Fall Tournament gets 8 League Games plus playoffs.
The knockout format for the Summer/Fall is based on the number of teams that register
with approx. 2/3rd of the teams qualifying for the playoffs. The playoff fixture will be
communicated at the start of the tournament after the registration closes.
3. The big bash 20/20 format will be made with 4 Teams in each group. The top 3 Teams from
each group will qualify for the knockout round.
4. In the knockout round, the teams are ranked based on points and NRR from league round,
and fixtures are accordingly made.
5. A player must play 3 games for Summer/Fall Tournament and 2 Game for Big Bash
Tournament to qualify for the knockout round.
1. No LBW or Leg Byes. Rest all rules applies as in ICC 20/20.
2. No neutral umpire for league round. Batting side will umpire in the league
round. Neutral umpires will be assigned for playoff games.
3. Teams will share points on Rainout Games. However if both the teams want to
reschedule a formal request need to be emailed to
by following Tuesday. If the game is partially delayed, then a minimum of 10
overs need to be played to get the result.
4. A game delayed due to the previous game running late should be played with
reduced over if needed. A team cannot cancel the game without consulting the
opposite captain. A game mutually cancelled is considered a TIE.
5. If it begins to rain in the 2nd half of the inning, then the scores at the end of 10th
over will be used to decided the winner.
6. Cones to be used to mark outer boundary, and discs to be used to mark the
inner circle. Minimum 4 players required in in the inner circle at all times. Only
2 players allowed outside the 30 yard circle in power-plays which is first 6 overs
mandatory. Umpire will call it NO Ball if this is not met.
7. Each player must be wearing the league T-shirts. The team loses 1 over from its
batting side for every player not wearing the official team t-shirt.
8. A player must be on the roster to be eligible to participate. If a team protests
against a player not on the roster, he would not be allowed to participate from
that point of the game, and the player cannot be added on the roster on the
spot.
9. Minimum 7 players required for the game. If a team fails to show up with
minimum 7 players on a scheduled time, the game would be considered a
walkover and no further game for that team will be scheduled.
10. If both the teams have less than 7 players 30 minutes after the Scheduled start,
the game is considered abandoned and no team is awarded any points.
11. A team will automatically lose the toss, if it does not have 7 players at toss time.
And it will start losing 1 over from its innings every 5 minutes of delay after 15
minutes of the Scheduled start.
12. A player can only register to play for one team in the tournament.
13. Any exception to the rules must be shared with opponent captain at/before the
start of the game his approval must be formally obtained.
14. Please do not contact the league/scheduler to reschedule your game after the
schedule is send. We will be unable to help you as we have already scheduled
based on the preferences we have. You can talk to the opponent captain, get its
agreement and mutually decide to play a reduced over game on a weekday.
Same with swapping, you can find another team to swap/play in your spot. But
please do not expect the league to start working for your convenience.
15. The playoff games will not be rescheduled, so if you have a special situation
with a playoff game you need to send to the league the moment you qualify for
playoffs. A weekend cannot be skipped for anyone, so please do not contact us
saying I cannot play this entire weekend. However if you a situation during a
certain hour of the week, the league will put an effort to work around it. The
participating team is obliged to play at the time league has scheduled the game,
whether its preference is met or not.
16. One Supersub allowed. The captain must identify the supersub and inform the
opponent before start of the game.
17. The player must be present by the 6th over to be allowed to play in the game.
18. Any walkovers has to be given at least 24 hours in advance by emailing the
opponent and cc to
.
19. The Bowling End of the Pitch will be switched every 5 Overs to save time (It is
done internationally after every over). The bowling team to decide which end it
wants to start the game from.
20. All the scoresheets and match results must be uploaded on the website using
the team login by following Tuesday night. A failure to do so will result in 1
point penalty for the winning team.
21. A scoresheet binder will be kept in the kit trunk as courtesy. If you forget to
bring scoresheet you can rip a page from it and use, but do not remove the
binder from the trunk.
22. The team playing first should take the stumps and cones from the trunk and
set up the field, and the teams playing last should put the items back in the
trunk and lock it.
23. Any lost and found items can also be kept in the trunk, and if not picked up
within 2 weeks, will be recycled or donated. The trunk has limited space and is
also used for youth, so can’t store lost and found items for long.
24. All players must be recorded on the scoresheet whether they batted or not. The
players whose names are not recorded will be considered absent and will not be
counted towards qualification in playoffs.

Team shirt are mandatory. The team loses one over from its batting for every player
playing the game and not wearing their Team Shirt.

Can a player wear something similar to the Team Shirt? No. Official team shirts
(with League logo on left chest) are required.

The team shirt takes 3-5 weeks to come, so captains are requested to plan
accordingly. It is always good to keep a couple shirts extra if you anticipate a last
minute player addition.
What if there is a conflict on the ground?
Both the captains should try to resolve the matter like gentlemen without involving
other players. Every attempt should be made to continue the game ASAP. If both
the captains decide the issue cannot be resolved mutually, please abandon the
match and send a complete report to the Tournament Administrator. The
Tournament Administrator will review the issue with the committee and decision of
the committee will be binding to both the teams.
The game will not be rescheduled.
How do I Upload Score Sheets?
1. The scoring is done on Chauka.in.
2. The team must request scorer access to people who would be uploading the
team scores in chauka.
3. The scorecard once approved by admin cannot be updated.
