New Castle Day Camps…your “Community Camp”!
Searching for the right camp to send your child to this summer? Are you looking for a
quality program, close to home with a long tradition of fun and engaging activities? Then
why not choose one of New Castle Recreation’s Day Camps...your “Community Camp”
program!
We offer an affordable day camp program filled with opportunities for campers to be active, be creative and be themselves! The 2015 season will be an exciting year to attend
our camps! Depending on what camp your child attends, campers will have the opportunity to take advantage of activities such as: swimming, arts and crafts, music, dance,
theme days, special events, performers, trips, camp carnival and more!
Our department’s goal is to offer safe, fun and affordable day camps for the residents of
New Castle. Our staff are courteous, professional and always looking out for the well
being of the campers. The camp administrative staff have years of experience not only in
a camp setting but as educators, counselors, nurses, coaches and parents.
New Castle Recreation, in cooperation with CCSD, offers camp programs in Chappaqua
Schools. All camps are licensed by the Westchester County Department of Health and
adhere to all regulations set by the County and State Health Departments.
Monday, March 2nd,
2015.
If you have any questions or comments regarding our camp programs, please feel free to

Tots Camp: for 3 - 5 year olds
Tots Camp is a program focused on
recreation, education and fun for children
who have not yet entered kindergarten.
Though it closely resembles a nursery
school program, the environment is designed to be camp-like rather than schoollike.
Camp staff, made up of adult Head
Teachers and mature assistant counselors,
create this environment through scheduling opportunities for active play, participation in creative arts and openly structured outdoor activities. The staff are also
dedicated to maintaining a caring, protective and well-supervised program. We
maintain a maximum camper to staff ratio
of 6:1.
A typical camp day will consist of an
arts and craft project, outdoor playtime
(weather permitting), sports, dance, quiet
time, music and story time. In addition
to the regularly scheduled programs,
campers will also participate in special
events and attend performances by entertainers. On very warm days, there will
be water play.
