TRAINING Training will be held on Wednesday afternoons/evenings. Training times are scheduled by the volunteer coach’s availability. In case of inclement or hot weather, it remains the Co‐ordinator’s discretion to cancel or postpone training. All players will attend the courts to ascertain if training will be held. NETBALL SEASON Each netball season usually starts the 1st week end in May. There are 14 weeks of regular competition followed by 3 weeks of finals, except U9’s who play in a round robin tournament on Preliminary Final Day. There are at least 2 ‘Dollar Days’ each season. On these days it will cost each person a gold coin to enter the Woodside netball courts. The Association holds these days to raise funds for trophies and to help the representative teams. Our Club must run the Woodside canteen 2 days per season. When the dates are known, a roster will be displayed in ‘The Shed’. ALL families and senior players are required to serve in the canteen for at least 1 hour. Subs are set for the season before the club Registration Day in March. Subs are due on or before the fourth round of the season. NDNC WE ARE ALL PART OF THE SAME CLUB Our club has developed a Member Protection Policy. This is available on our website and in ‘The Shed’. Fair play, fun, teamwork and sportsmanship will be promoted and encouraged by all club members as key components to team, club and personal success. To achieve this, the Nairne Districts Netball Club parent, spectator, player and coaching community must abide by the following Code of Conducts. Attempt to relieve the pressure of competing.  Accept the results of each game. Encourage the player to be gracious in victory and to turn defeat into victory by working towards improving.  Encourage the player to understand and abide by the rules of the game.  Your conduct and language needs to reflect and support the Club’s ideals of good sportsmanship.  Abusive language is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.  Let the Coach do the coaching, allowing them time and space to talk to the players at breaks and before and after matches.  Remember, the player is playing for their enjoyment, not yours. Do not force an unwilling player to take the court. PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT  Attend training sessions and matches at times established by the Coach.
