I agree to pay the monthly tuition fee of $50.00 per month.
There is a onetime $20 processing fee due at time of enrollment.
Tuition is due at the first class of every month or no later than the 12th of the month.
There is a late fee of $10.00 after the 12th day of the month – no exceptions.
There is a $20.00 fee for any checks returned due to insufficient funds.
Unless otherwise notified, absences more than 2 months will be dropped from rolls.
If dropped from rolls, there will be a reinstatement fee of $20.00 to rejoin class.
All cell phones turned OFF or on silent mode, unless on 24-hour call due to your job.
Student’s responsibility to notify Hālau kokua of any updates to personal
information; i.e. address, email, phone number, emergency contact information and
absences, etc.
Cash or checks acceptable; payable to: PATRICK MAKUAKĀNE
(Bill Pay checks can be set up with your bank and sent to address below)
To avoid a late fee, checks can be mailed before the 12th of each month to:
Bobbie Mendes
153 Bradford Street
San Francisco CA 94110-5703
To remain a student in good standing, tuition is due each month whether or not you choose to attend
classes. Tuition works the same way as enrollment in a health club membership or subscribing to cell
phone or Internet service, with the exception that you are not bound to a long-term financial commitment.
Tuition fees should be paid to Aunty Bobbie, Debbie Garcia, Debbie Tong or John Shima.
Please bring to class a 3-ring binder with notebook paper for notes, songs, and instruction. Please write
your name in your notebook and on hula implements. “Lost & Found Fee” is $1.00 per item.
Make-up classes: If applicable, you may attend any class equal or newer than yours to make up any
missed classes. Make-up classes must be completed within two weeks of absence.
Recommended Attire: Non-restrictive clothing. Women are required to wear a hula pā’ū (skirt). Sewing
instructions listed on reverse page or see Bobbie for information on ordering a skirt.
