Date: April 22, 2015 Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Location: El Segundo, CA Educational Requirement: Masters in Mechanical Engineering Job Summary: Responsible to create and develop the Optical Fiber Sub Assembly (OFSA) Products as required by the customer. This requires creating top and subassembly layouts, detailed drawings and process /working instructions conforming to the drawings and specifications. Develop process fixture drawings to enhance or improve the manufacturing processes. Work diligently in teams to continuously satisfy project schedule requirements. Support a highly professional staff on design and process elements of the OFSA line, and others as needed. Coordinate with other tool designers and technical staff on high-volume design and implementation for OFSA products. Additional manufacturing support duties include monitoring process trends by observing product yields and failures over time and per process. Work with Quality Department on vendor product improvements and conformity. Must be a self starter and passionate on his/her responsibilities and assignments. Responsibilities: Work on detailed OFSA drawing and release them to Production level with corresponding Production part numbers Design tooling/fixtures for OFSA ramp up efforts Assemble and release Bill of Materials list that supports each of the OFSA assembly levels Implement Test standards for process monitoring Monitor Yield trends and Pareto failures Failure analysis/corrective action plan Work with Part vendors on quality, lead-times Execute on leadership initiative and drive task from start to finish Requirements: Preferred Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a 4-year college or university, or equivalent, with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0. and 1+ years’ industry experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a 4-year college or university, or equivalent, with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0. and 3+ years’ industry experience. 3+ years in CAD software and capable to apply drawing design disciplines Knowledgeable in Material Science with various applications of solders and epoxies. 411 Coral Circle, El Segundo, CA 90245-4622 Phone: (310) 597-4991 www.nanoprecision.com NOTE: This document is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s).
