INTRODUCTION India is emerging as one of the fastest-growing world economy with 7.4 percent GDP. Economic Survey 2015 forecasted GDP growth between 8.1 to 8.5 percent in FY 15-16. Many major global corporate players across the industry are coming to India for expanding their business. The demographic dividend is immensely in favor of India. In this context, B-Schools have a pivotal role to play by growing high talent professionals as needed by the Corporate World. In fact, the Corporate World and B-Schools must work in unison, complimenting and supplementing each other for the availability of high quality talents. Towards this end, NHRDN, the apex body of HR professionals is engaged in developing a National Forum for the Thought Leaders from the Corporate World and Academia. It is also significantly engaged in Ranking of B-Schools in India with a view to improving their system, process and governance. Based on that experience, NHRDN has come to conclusion that Indian B-Schools need to tone up their governance process and leadership mind set.
