Welcome to the North American Natural Bodybuilding Federations’ Natural Missouri
Bodybuilding,and the Natural Southern States Classic Bodybuilding, Figure, Physique and Bikini
Contests!
We are the first event in North American Natural Bodybuilding Federation’s history, to split the
competition into 2 days & 3 different shows! This is our tenth year in the 2-day format. We are very
excited to help meet the demand of natural athletes in Kansas City and to grow with the sports of
Natural Bodybuilding, Physique, Figure & Bikini. Tonight (Friday, April 24 you will be entertained by a
top level amateur Bikini competition, and tomorrow Morning (Saturday, April 25) the contest will feature both male and female Natural Bodybuilding &
Women's Physique. Evening (Saturday, April 25)
the contest will feature Figure, and Men’s Physique.
We are proud to be celebrating 21 years of Drug
Free Bodybuilding! My wife Becky and I are very
excited we have made it to this milestone and we are
as enthusiastic about promoting this fun and entertaining event as we were our first. I would like to say
that we are very appreciative of all the volunteers and
sponsors that have helped us present the contest for
all these years. They are the reason this show runs
like a fine tuned machine. We are very proud to have
gained the distinction as one of the best natural
shows in the heart of the country and most of all
proud to be known as the most competitor and fan
friendly contest around.
What you will see here is over 250 competitors
that have been drug tested by 100% Polygraph and
Subjective Urinalysis. The NANBF and our Pro
Affiliate the IFPA are the largest Natural Bodybuilding
organization in North America.
Our organizations are top to bottom about providing competitions for those who choose to comJOHN & BECKY ARNOLD,
pete without the use of sports enhancement drugs.
NSSC PROMOTERS
In light of many of our main stream sports these
days that struggle with drug use we revel in the fact that we provide a level playing field. This results
in great parity and fun to watch competitions. The thought that diminished performance will result in
less fan support is a real concern for the main stream pro sports that are currently dealing with these
issues. The fact is that with a fair and healthy sport you will grow. Our contest has quadrupled in size
since its inception. All our other NANBF promoters all over the USA are also seeing rapid growth as
well. You clean it up and they will come!

BIKINI: Two-piece suits and high-heeled shoes are worn for both parts of the contest. Suits can
be of any style, color and pattern with the exception of being a thong/T-back bottom.
• GROUP COMPARISON ROUND-Symmetry and Shape. A specific level of muscularity or leanness is not sought after for NANBF Bikini competition. 1/2 Turns are performed. Judging is based
on having an overall healthy-looking toned body with good symmetry, shape, fullness, balance
and proportion with good poise, posture, confidence, stage presence and comfortable presentation. Other factors that can affect overall appearance are skin tone, complexion, suit fit, hair and
make-up. Bikini competitors should not display an abundance of muscle size, deep muscle separation, or muscle striations.
• Walk: Music will be played during the presentation round; The presentation round is not judged,
however, it is used for best presentation award. The promoter will determine the choice of music
played.
BODYBUILDING: The 2015 Southern States Classic Bodybuilding Championships and the Missouri
Natural will be judged as described below:
• GROUP COMPARISON ROUND-BODYBUILDING SYMMETRY: 1/4 Turns. Athletes are judged
based on symmetry, that is, the structural harmony of their physique. In this round, the judges
are looking for balance and proportion between different components. Between the upper and
lower body, between arms and legs, between front and back of the extremities, etc. Symmetry is
a measure of the equality of the development and of how well the parts of the physique fit together into a balanced and coherent whole.
• GROUP COMPARISON ROUND-MUSCULARITY: Athletes are judged on muscularity, which
refers to the size of the muscles, their shape, definition and hardness. The athlete’s muscularity
is judged based on compulsory poses in this round.
• ROUTINE: This is not judged, however, it is used to determine best poser award. Presentation is
the effectiveness of the display of the athlete’s assets, and in this includes posture, carriage, projection, posing ability and skin color. All athlete’s choose their own music and have a time limit of
60 seconds.
WOMEN’S PHYSIQUE: Athletes are required to have a two-piece. Suits may be enhanced with
sequins, sparkles and rhinestones. Additional jewelry may be worn e.g., necklace, earrings and
bracelet. The style of suit and accessories should compliment the physique and not distract
from.
• GROUP COMPARISON ROUND:1/4 Turns. Women’s Physique judging criteria is based on lean
muscle, symmetry (balanced proportions), poise and presentation. Mandatory poses are also
done in this round.
• ROUTINE:The routine is not judged, however, it is used for best presentation award. All athletes
choose their own music and have a time limit of 60 seconds.
FIGURE: Athletes are required to have a two-piece and high heel shoes. Suits may be enhanced
with sequins, sparkles and rhinestones. Additional jewelry may be worn e.g., necklace, earrings
and bracelet. The style of suit, heels and accessories should compliment the physique and not
distract from. Thongs are prohibited.

• GROUP COMPARISON ROUND-Symmetry /Physique (overall fit appearance): Athletes will be
judged in a group. Mandatory-1/4 turns will be performed in this round. The objective is to
showcase your overall symmetry: (A Toned physique, Proportion, Femininity and Poise.) The
turns should not be hard; rather soft feminine turns. An overly soft physique is discouraged. The
two-piece swimsuit will be used during this round.
• Walk: Music will be played during the presentation round; The presentation round is not judged,
however, it is used for best presentation award. The promoter will determine the choice of music
played.
MEN’S PHYSIQUE: Athletes will wear board shorts, just above the knee. No footwear, shirt or body
accessories.
• GROUP COMPARISON ROUND: Symmetry & Muscularity. Mandatory-1/4 turns will be performed in this round. Fit contestants who display proper shape and symmetry combined with
muscularity and overall condition. This is not a bodybuilding contest so extreme muscularity
should be marked down.
• Walk: Music will be played during the presentation round; The presentation round is not judged,
however, it is used for best presentation award. The promoter will determine the choice of music
played.
