Early Spring Cold Crops
Starting in early April and every 2‐weeks through May we expect delivery of fresh 4‐packs of cold crop seedlings. Cabbages, kales, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, spinach, many types of lettuce and more will be available for in‐shop purchase. Come early and come often for best selection. Organic Asparagus Roots Plant asparagus in a permanent location since beds can be productive for 15–20 years. Asparagus prefer loose, fertile, composted neutral pH soil.

Dark Red Norland early season A delicious red skin potato. Firm, white flesh this tuber lends itself to frying, roasting and boiling. Plant at closer spacing (6‐8") for small "new" potatoes. This strain on 'Brown Turkey' originates from the former Miller's Nursery of Canandaigua, NY. Latroola A medium to large yellowish‐green fig widely grown in the Pacific Northwest. Good for cooler climates. Very sweet, good fresh, dried or preserved. Bears two crops. This variety does well grown in a pot or in the ground. Tony's Black is an old Italian fig. Dark skin and with deep red flesh. Excellent flavor. Produces a good early crop, called the "breba crop". Needs a long season for the main crop to ripen well. Successfully grown by a good friend of ours in Waterbury, CT, USDA zone 6 for twenty five years. Tony's White is another old Italian fig. Light golden skin with strawberry flesh. Excellent flavor.
