College shall not be liable for admission/ranking in the Merit List in case candidate’s previous 10+2 board is not approved by the Vidyasagar University. Important conditions for admission eligibility are mentioned below : In case of Board/Council other than W.B.C.H.S.E., a candidate shall have to pass in five [four, where applicable] recognised subjects of full marks not being less than 100 each of which one shall be English. For them the merit point will be calculated converting their % of marks into 500. Marks obtained in top five subjects shall be considered to ascertain the aggregate marks of a candidate passing the examination under grade system. Also for candidates passing H.S. (10+2) Examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education under old system, marks obtained in top five subjects shall be considered to determine the aggregate marks. Marks obtained in Environmental Education as a compulsory subject at the H.S. (10+2) Examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent shall not be taken into account for calculation of the aggregate marks in top five subjects for the purpose of admission. No candidate shall be considered for admission after a lapse of more than 3 (three) years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognised regular courses of study after passing the previous qualifying examination. Explanation : An applicant passed H.S. (10+2) level in the year (2013/2014/2015) is eligible to apply for B.A. Course in this college. The candidates qualifying the vocational courses can apply general degree courses only. Keep In Mind: As per the recent verdict of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, ragging and sexual harassment in any form are criminal offences. Students involved in either of these unlawful events will be liable to disciplinary action taken by the competent authorities. Also, students have to abide by the discipline in the College and the rules framed by the Vidyasagar University. Candidates with short fall of attendance in their classes will be taken disciplinary action as per V.U. guidelines. Candidate should note that No application form(s) without bank challan(s) will be accepted. The college reserves the right to admission.
