87th North Carolina FFA State Convention Important Information
Parking at the Raleigh Convention Center, Downtown Raleigh
The Downtown Raleigh area offers ample parking for buses, cars, and vans. For a map of the downtown Raleigh
area, please visit the state convention webpage http://www.ncffa.org
Parking at NC State University
There are specific parking lots at NC State University set aside for state convention parking. It is important that you
park in these areas only to prevent ticketing and/or towing on Wednesday, June 17th, 2015. The only reason you
should need to go to the campus will be for the Agricultural Mechanics CDE or a tour of the Universities’ campus.
When you arrive on campus, please park your vehicle in the appropriate area indicated below.

Buses, mini-buses and 15-passenger vans should park in the West Lot off Sullivan Drive.
Personal vehicles should park in reserved parking in the Coliseum Parking Deck for an hourly fee.
Convention Seating
•
All convention sessions will be held in Grand Ballrooms A, B, C of the Raleigh Convention Center. Seating
capacity for the ballroom is 2000 individuals. Session seating will be on a first come-first serve basis. There
will be reserved seating during each session for award recipients, parents of state officers and special guests.
•
Courtesy Corp members will be stationed throughout the ballroom to help convention attendees find seating.
•
Convention attendees that are to receive awards on stage are highly encouraged to be in their seats 20
minutes prior to the session start time.
•
State Degree recipients will be asked to sit in the reserved seating on the left hand side of the convention hall
by 7:15 pm on Tuesday night. They will be escorted onto the convention stage by the courtesy Corp members.
