Robert "Scott" Clontz Appointed by: Speaker of the House of Representatives Industry: Advanced Manufacturing Term Expires: June 30, 2015 Robert "Scott" Clontz is a professional pilot as a Captain for Netjets, Inc. He is life-‐long resident of Iredell County, attended North Carolina State University and earned a Bachelor of Science cum laude in Biological and Agricultural Engineering. Mr. Clontz was appointed to the North Carolina Global TransPark Authority Board of Directors in 2014 by the Speaker of the House. After college, he pursued a career in professional aviation, achieving Commercial Single and Multi-‐ engine Airplane ratings, Airline Transport Pilot and Single, Multi-‐engine and Instrument Instructor qualifications and has logged over 10,000 hours of flying time. As a career pilot he gets to visit all types of small, medium and large airfield operations in the Western Hemisphere. Mr. Clontz is a member of the Top of the Lake Rotary Club of Mooresville where he is a Paul Harris Fellow, has served as a PTO officer at his local schools, an adult leader in Troop 609 of the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Iredell County Facility Task Force on county education facilities and a member of the Board of Directors of the Iredell County Farm Bureau. He serves as a member of the NC State University Family and Consumer Sciences Foundation Board. Scott is a member of Campbell Masonic Lodge #374 in Troutman, a lifelong member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church in Mooresville, NC and a life member of the South Iredell FFA Alumni. As a longtime member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots association and his recent membership in the Experimental Aircraft Association, he continues to promote local interest in aviation. Mr. Clontz love for agriculture keeps him coming back home. This allows him to help on his family farm producing hay, grain and beef. He is married to Marty, and has one son.
