This presentation will review the significant changes being experienced in the electricity industry today
and the new business opportunities such changes afford. Technologies such as battery storage and
solar generation, through to new ways to manage electrical loads represent seismic shifts in how we’ve
previously done things, to the point that it may soon be more economic to completely disconnect from the
grid. We will look at these changes, explore new technologies and changes in the grid, review the practical
realities beyond the hype and consider what new business opportunities may arise for those working in the
electrical and communications industries.

Richard Kerfoot, Kerfoot Electrics
Learn how four giants of the electrical industry have developed successful businesses that have survived
the test of time. This interactive discussion will cover the critical decisions they have made in deciding
which markets to enter, their ideal business size, identifying opportunities and managing the risks involved
in growing a contracting business. This session will allow you to ask questions of these four highly
successful contractors.

SESSION 9: HEALTH MATTERS - IT IS OUR GREATEST GIFT. DON’T THROW IT AWAY!

requires planning. People need to take control of their own health and wellbeing. This interactive and fun
presentation will give attendees ten tips to maintain mental and physical health as well seven tests your
doctor has not told you about that you can request - they may save your life!
