Production and Material Planner Ref. #15-09 Neptec Technologies Corp. develops innovative 3D machine vision products for machine automation and robotic applications in harsh environments. We are seeking a motivated, result driven Production and Material Planner to join our growing team. Core Functions: Plan, prepare, issue and control master production schedules, Resolve planning and build scheduling issues, Provide forecast analyses, Support material key metrics reporting with timely rollup of information, and assistance with special reports management, Coordinate timely acquisition and delivery of supplied material to support production requirements, Ensure the efficient movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through the production and inventory process, Drive production efficiencies by releasing work orders related to specific jobs or assigned project work based on material/capacity availability, Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Ensure that inventory levels are sufficient to support required builds while maintaining excess and obsolete inventory- identify material shortages, Review customer demands to determine appropriate stocking levels and flow material, Optimization of run quantities and achievement of 100% On Time Delivery, Ensure data integrity in MRP system by developing and executing processes to track production WIP and manage materials Monitor and take the lead to resolve potential system and bill of material (BOM) problems, Monitor WIP and inventories and assure material discrepancies are resolved, Manage order fulfillment through the entire supply and manufacturing process, Manage and control special lots such as engineering, customer RMA’s or quarantined materials, Work directly with FG shipper(s) to assure that goods are shipped and issued in a timely and accurate manner, Analyze, troubleshoot, make recommendations and implement solutions for existing processes and procedures to maximize supply chain performance, Participate in identifying and implementing MRP system enhancements, in order to maximize efficiencies, Contribute to the development and enhancement of standard operation procedures and processes. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, education and experience: University degree and/or professional designation is preferred, Five years’ plus experience in production planning, Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint, Able to predict potential supply problems and proactively address, Strong knowledge in electronic and opto-electronic manufacturing flows and processes, Self-directed, proactive, motivated, and goal orientated, Able to function in a team based environment and manage multiple priorities, Effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, Highly organized and detail orientated, Experience working with pcMRP or other ERP/MRP software, Knowledge of SCM, and MRP software, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) an asset.
