The Hague
We look forward to hosting media attending the FIVB Beach Volleyball World
Championships in the Netherlands. The event will be held from June 26 to July 5 in
The Hague, Amsterdam, Apeldoorn and Rotterdam.

This information will assist you in planning your trip to the Netherlands and to
apply for media accreditation to cover the event. Every effort will be made to
ensure journalists have all the appropriate facilities necessary to work at the
event.

members can log in with their username and password to their account to apply
for credentials under “My Acrreditations” tab.

Accreditation passes and a media kit are issued at the Information Desk at
the Media Centres in The Hague, Amsterdam, Apeldoorn and Rotterdam. The
accreditation pass will be asked at each controlled entrance and will allowed you
to have access to the specific venue.

are two major international airports at under 45 minutes travel time from The
Hague: Rotterdam The Hague Airport (45 minutes by train, 25 minutes by car) and

Amsterdam is a world-class international transport hub and there are countless
ways of getting into the city. Many travelers fly into the award-winning
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, while hopping on a train is also a great option –
convenient and cost effective, the rail network in the Netherlands is second to
none. And of course the road network provides easy access to Amsterdam for
those keen to travel by car or coach.
By public transport
The Hague boasts excellent public transport. Over 30 bus and tram lines will
quickly and safely take you to your destination in The Hague and the beach areas
Scheveningen and Kijkduin. Randstad Rail offers excellent light rail connections to
Zoetermeer and Rotterdam.

Apeldoorn is conveniently situated in the centre of The Netherlands and
can be reached easily by car or public transport. Apeldoorn is located
next to two important highways of the Netherlands, the A1 and A50.
Therefore it is easily reachable by car from, for example, The Hague,
Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Schiphol Airport. From Amsterdam/Schiphol
it will take approximately one hour and 15 minutes and from The Hague
and Rotterdam one and a half hour to get to Apeldoorn.
Rotterdam is readily accessible from Europe and the rest of the world by plane,
by train and by car. Rotterdam is reachable by use of the highway A4 from The
Hague and Amsterdam. Airport Schiphol Amsterdam is a 45 minutes’ drive away
from Rotterdam.
By public transport
You can also reach Apeldoorn by train. There are direct train connections to large
cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Schiphol Airport. Once
arrived in Apeldoorn, you can travel to almost every place within the city by bus.
However, for those who want to go straight to Market Square, this is easily within
walking distance of the central station.
