2015 Summer Conference
Wednesday June 10 – Friday June 12
Lighthouse Inn, West Dennis, MA
Dear Public Works Colleague:
After a particularly long and difficult winter, it’s finally time to think warm thoughts and make plans for
the 2015 New England Chapter American Public Works Association’s Summer Conference on beautiful
Cape Cod. THIS YEAR THE SUMMER CONFERENCE WILL RETURN TO THE LIGHTHOUSE INN!
You are cordially invited to this three-day event that will bring together Public Works colleagues
throughout New England and offers Continuing Education Units (CEUs), relevant discussions on topics
such as pavement preservation and legislative issues, presentations from peers on rail trails, traffic and
transportation concerns, and stormwater management and permit compliance, among others, and a
number of other special activities and networking opportunities. A detailed agenda and schedule for
the conference is enclosed along with an event calendar which lists all key times and activities. For more
information go to http://newengland.apwa.net
The Conference fees are as follows: $175 Full Conference Package for members; $195 Full Conference
Package for non-members or daily rates of $95/day for members and $105/day for non-members.
Registration may be done by mailing, faxing, or emailing the enclosed registration form with payment no
later than May 27, 2015.
Room reservations must be made directly with the Lighthouse Inn by completing the enclosed
Reservation Request form and paying the appropriate deposit. Up until May 8, 2015, only the full
package of Wednesday and Thursday evenings will be available for booking at the Lighthouse Inn.
After May 8, room reservations for single nights will be open based upon availability. For those
wishing to arrive early, reservations for Tuesday evening June 9, 2015 are available as a single night on
the Reservation Request Form. Negotiated rates being held by the Lighthouse Inn for the Chapter will
expire on May 15, 2015 and will be subject to change.
The package includes two overnight hotel accommodations (based on single or double occupancy), the
banquet dinner Wednesday evening, and dinner Thursday evening. Package rates include all taxes and
services charges.
Additional meals can be purchased using the enclosed Additional Meal Registration Form. Additional
meal reservations will not be available during the conference, please plan accordingly. Registration
badges/tickets will be required for admittance to all conference events including dinner receptions.
Also, please note that business attire (men: jacket and tie) is required for the Member of the Year
Banquet.
I can be contacted at any time with questions. Please plan on joining us for the New England Chapter
