Presenter – Barry Adams, Environmental Protection Officer, Service NL
Mr. Adams is a graduate of the MUN biology program and spent the majority of his career with
the Department of Forestry and Wildlife. He joined the Clarenville Service NL Officer about three
years ago.

Presenter – Byron Osmond, Safety Coordinator, City of St. John’s
Mr. Osmond is currently the Safety Coordinator- Roads & Traffic Division. For the past 25 years
he has worked in the areas of Fire & Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, Health Care, and
Government, specializing in the areas of Health & Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and
Disability Management. He has provided guidance and support in these areas to the Oil & Gas,
Mining, Health Care, and Municipality Industry Sectors throughout the Province of
Newfoundland & Labrador.

Topic – Monitoring Waste Water Flows and Federal Regulations
Presenter – Steve Priestley, BioMaxx
Steve Priestley is the Director of Special Projects with BioMaxx Wastewater Solutions. Steve
has been in the wastewater industry for 16 years both Municipally and Privately from coast to
coast in Canada from St. John’s Newfoundland & Labrador - to Vancouver BC. BioMaxx is
currently opening up an Atlantic Canada operation, and Steve is currently heading up that
project, as well as working with a number of clients in the industrial industry across North
America on solutions for over-strength wastewater issues

Presenter – Representative from Stantec
