Welcome Note
!
Thank You for expressing interest in being
a part of our Mexico team! We believe God can use
you in incredible ways on this team. Let us just take
a few minutes to give you some background on the
incredible ministries we have the opportunity to
partner alongside.
!
New Life Church has expanded
internationally, holding services in La Mision,
Mexico through partnering with Open Arms
Daycare. La Iglesia Nueva Vida de La Mision ( New
Life Church, La Mision) has grown over the past
few years and it is our privilege to continue to serve
our church, even in another country. Before heading
home, students will have the opportunity to serve
within New Life La Mision, and experience church
in a unique way.

Open Arms Childcare & Door of Faith
Orphanage are located just 1 hour south of the San
Diego border, in a small town called La Mision,
between Rosarito and Ensenada. God has placed it
in the hearts of Heidi and Daniel Elizarraraz to
provide a no-cost daycare for the less fortunate
children in Mexico because the need for childcare in
poverty stricken areas is abundant. Mexico is a
third world country with a desperate need for a
daycare system. !
In Mexico there is no childcare solution
for single parent families or married couples in the
workforce. They can barely put food on the table,

Trip Dates
Monday, July 27 - Monday, August 3
let alone pay for childcare. Parents are handing
their children to orphanages just to enable them to
put food on the table. Other parents lock their
children in the home alone during the work day.

Together Open Arms and Door of Faith
are working to show children Christ's love through
salvation and to show the parents how much God
values family. The orphanage provides beautiful
housing, education, care, and love to over 100
children. They are a family. Door of Faith also works
to expand its program by distributing supplies and
offering training to other orphanages both in Mexico
and across the globe.

Through the work of individuals and
teams, families in Mexico experience the free gift of
love, through you, from God. Whether skilled or
not, your abilities can be used. From cleaning,
painting, weeding, holding babies, mixing cement,
to pounding nails, or digging ditches there is
something for everyone. There is a place for you on
this trip.

Payment
The cost is $750.00 due in full at the time
of online registration. This covers all
transportation, lodging, meals, and
outreach activities.
Signing Up
All payment and registrations are done under the
event registration page at newlifeinfo.com/events
This trip is limited to the first 24 registrants and
registration closes on Thursday, June 25th.
Information Meeting
Please join us for a mandatory information
meeting on Sunday, June 28th in the Video Cafe on
our Alamo Campus. This meeting will be held
from 2:00 - 3:00 and address further information
and any questions you may have. Thank you!

Week Itinerary
Packing List
Additional Important Information
A week serving in Mexico is an exhilarating,
rewarding experience. You will have the privilege
to work harder and play more than you may have
before. Come prepared to exercise your work ethic,
serving attitude, and passion for life.
Do not include anything (clothing, electronics,
etc.) that if dirty, damaged, or lost would
disappoint you. Include all of the following in
your packing.
Please make sure you thoroughly read through and
understand all this information.
Monday, July 27
6:00 am – Arrive at New Life Church, Alamo
6:30 am – Leave New Life Church (We will be
stopping for food along the way)
6:00 pm – Dinner at Open Arms Day Care in La
Mision, Mexico
Tuesday, July 28 - Thursday, July 30
Work and serving projects in La Mision
* On Wednesday we will also host a BBQ for the
Door of Faith Orphanage
Friday, July 31!

Identification
Mexico does require passports for
entrance. Picture ID is also a must.
Medical Care
Medical services are available in San Diego,
California.
The U.S. Health Department recommends receiving
a Hepatitis A vaccine prior to visiting Mexico.
Food and Water
All kitchen food and bottled water are safe.
Communication
There is no telephone usage in the orphanage. If
you need to contact parents, church staff, etc. Please
do so before crossing the border into Mexico.
Parents will not be able to contact their children
during this time period.
Laundry
There are no laundry facilities available. Please
bring a sufficient amount of clothing. Please be
conscious of your attire as we are in a different
culture and community.
