European Advanced Arthroscopy Course, Newmarket, UK 17 & 18 April 2015 Speakers Wayne McIlwraith, BVSc, PhD, FRCVS, DSc, Dr. med vet (hc), Dvetmed (hc), Dip ACVS, ACVS MR, Professor of Surgery and Director of Orthopaedic Research Center Colorado State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr McIlwraith is the pioneer of equine arthroscopy, is the senior author of Diagnostic & Surgical Arthroscopy in the Horse, and is a major contributor to clinical and research orthopaedics. Ian Wright, MA, VetMB, DEO, Dip ECVS, MRCVS, Newmarket Equine Hospital, Suffolk, UK has extensive clinical experience in arthroscopic surgery, has published numerous minimally invasive techniques and is a coauthor of the 3rd & 4th Edition of Diagnostic & Surgical Arthroscopy in the Horse. David Frisbie, DVM, PhD, MS, BA, Dip ACVS, Associate Professor of Equine Surgery at Colorado State University, has published extensively including several novel techniques in equine orthopaedics. Matthew Smith, BVetMed Dip ECVS, DEO, MRCVS, Specialist Surgeon at Newmarket Equine Hospital with principal interests in arthroscopy and fracture repair. He is widely published in these subjects and has contributed to the development of technical advances in both. Course Information The authors of the 4th Edition of Diagnostic and Surgical Arthroscopy in the Horse invite you to an intensive two day course in advanced arthroscopic techniques. Participants will need a reasonable degree of arthroscopic competence in order to benefit from the instruction. The course will be intensive and comprehensive covering common joints, tendon sheaths and bursae. It will introduce also the novel technique of standing diagnostic arthroscopy and include current concepts of tissue healing, adjunctive therapies and rehabilitation as these relate to arthroscopic cases. All lectures will be supported by “hands on” wet lab experience using Storz specialist teaching equipment. Course Fees Pre-registration is required. The registration fee for the course is £2160 per delegate or £1776 for ECVS/ACVS Residents Including VAT. Please note UK VAT is payable for all participants including EU citizens. The cost of the course includes lectures, wet labs, coffee, lunch and tea on both days, and a course dinner on Friday evening. Accommodation is not included (see below). Cancellations Fees will not be refunded if cancellation is made within 30 days of commencement of the course. Booked places can be transferred to another person.
