the kind of little bits of coloured wool, (pointing) you would do a deal with him, you would
not do a deal with him, you might do a deal with him and you wouldn't do a deal with her, is
that right?
NICK CLEGG:
No, I wouldn't do a deal with him.
ANDREW MARR:

No, I've, he and I have debated, but there's no meeting point I think, between...
NIGEL FARAGE:
No, I mean, look, we don’t want to go into coalition with anybody, you know, whatever
strength we have in the next Parliament, all we want to do is to make sure the British people
get a full, free and fair referendum on their membership of the EU and whether we have open
borders or not. That's all...
YVETTE COOPER:
(over) The big difference, the big difference...
NICK CLEGG:
(over) But you also want, he also wants to take away Strictly, Strictly Come Dancing...
NIGEL FARAGE:

NICK CLEGG:
(over) That's terrible, that's much more important than an EU referendum!
NIGEL FARAGE:

YVETTE COOPER:
The difference in the end, both these two men would happily do a deal with David Cameron
and put him back into Downing Street, that's what we won't do, that's why in the end Labour's
the only alternative choice.
NICK CLEGG:
(over) But you’ll dance to the tune of Alex Salmond instead, so you’ll dance to the tune of

ANDREW MARR:
But there’s been no bloodier and more aggressive tribal fight than between Labour and the
Liberal Democrats, is there any possibility that you could put all that behind you and talk to
Nick Clegg, I mean, your party's been very rude about Nick, could you talk to... if the
voters…
YVETTE COOPER:
Oh, we're ... we're challenging, we're challenging him again today, but you’ve just been
discussing, you’ve been discussing tuition fees and Nick says that, you know, he didn’t want
to put up tuition fees but he's still opposing us in reducing them, I mean, would you....
NICK CLEGG:
(over) I’ll tell you what I’m opposing, is two and a half billion pounds' worth of Labour cuts
to nurseries, schools and colleges…
YVETTE COOPER:
... would you, would you want, would you want, would you want, would you allow an
increase in tuition fees ?
NICK CLEGG:
Yvette, if you...
YVETTE COOPER:
Will you rule out an increase in tuition fees?
NICK CLEGG:

You are not going to have youngsters going to university if you don’t support nursery schools
and colleges.
YVETTE COOPER:

YVETTE COOPER:

(over) Let kindly Mr Andrew Marr break into this and help you both out. I'd like to hear form
Nick Clegg. You’ve said you’re very worried about the Labour Party being propped up from
the outside by the SNP, if they were genuinely outside, if there was no deal, do you think you
could do a deal with the Labour Party?
NICK CLEGG:
I'd be very open about the fact...
ANDREW MARR:
(over) Could there be a Lib-Lab government.
NICK CLEGG:
I'd be very open about the fact that there's no way the Liberal Democrats are going to enter,
enter any deal, arrangement or pact with the SNP or UKIP, sorry Nigel.
NIGEL FARAGE:
(over) No, it's all right, boy.
NICK CLEGG:
.. but, but of course you’ve got to be grown up about it, both Ed Miliband and Yvette, and…
ANDREW MARR:
(over) So you could talk together.
NICK CLEGG:
... Of course, of course, of course the Liberal Democrats, we are the only party who are
grown up enough to say that since no-one is going to win, I know Yvette and Ed Miliband
and David Cameron...
YVETTE COOPER:
(over) His red lines...
NICK CLEGG:

YVETTE COOPER:

NICK CLEGG:

YVETTE COOPER:

(over) But you may have to talk together, in the end you may well have to talk together.
NICK CLEGG:
But Yvette, you really have to kind of get over this, you're not going to win a majority, and
you, and indeed the Conservatives, have to be more upfront to the British people...
NIGEL FARAGE:
(over) But we've got, we've got four days to go, Nick.
NICK CLEGG:
... you're not going to win a majority and we would never accept the cuts that you want to
impose...
NIGEL FARAGE:
(over) We've got four days to go.
NICK CLEGG:
... on nurseries, schools, and colleges across the country.
YVETTE COOPER:
(over) No, I mean, wait a minute, your party, both of your two parties...
NIGEL FARAGE:
(over) Can we, can we, can we not, can we not, in the last four days...
YVETTE COOPER:
... want huge, huge cuts...
NIGEL FARAGE:
(over) Can we not in the last four days... can we actually discuss policy…
NICK CLEGG:

YVETTE COOPER:

NIGEL FARAGE:
(over) Can we talk about policy, not who’d get into bed with who.
