Welcome to NC State!
As your Orientation Leaders (OLs), we want you to know how
excited we are that you decided to join our family and start your
journey as part of the Wolfpack! Take it from us, the next years
of your life as an NC State student are going to be memorable,
challenging, and incredibly rewarding.
The Orientation Leader team is here to help you navigate your
way to a successful start. Each of us had an experience as a new
student at NC State and know what it’s like to come into such
a large community. NC State may feel overwhelming at first,
but we have each made this place our home and can help you
do the same.

experience, so that you walk away feeling prepared and
excited to begin your journey at NC State. We’re here to help
you do that, but it starts with you! Our advice is to ask lots of
questions, reach out to other new students, and start making
your bucket list of what you want to experience and accomplish
over the next four years.
Above all, we want you to know that we decided to be
Orientation Leaders because we love this University. We love the
Belltower, we wear red on Fridays, and we sing the alma mater
loud and proud! Get ready to Think and Do, and congratulations

University Community
Compact
As members of the NC State Community:
We affirm a commitment to integrity and the pursuit
of excellence in our academic, personal,
and professional endeavors;
NC State Fight Song
Shout aloud to the men who will play
the game to win
We’re behind you, keep fighting for State —
Hold that line, hold ‘em fast,
We’ll reach victory at last
We honor freedom of thought and expression;
We’re behind you, keep fighting for State —
We respect the diversity of individuals and groups;
Rise up to the fray and let your colors wave,
We affirm our commitment to fairness and justice;
Shout out for dear old NC State;—GO STATE!
We commit to conducting ourselves in accordance
with the highest ethical standards;
And where-e’er we go,
We foster engagement in a culture of service and
stewardship within the NC State, national, and global communities.
NC State Alma Mater
Where the winds of Dixie softly blow
O’er the fields of Caroline,
There stands ever cherished, NC State,
As thy honored shrine
So lift your voices! Loudly sing,
From hill to ocean side!
Our hearts ever hold you, NC State —
In the folds
we’ll let the whole world know,
We’re behind you, keep fighting for State.
Red and White Song
We’re the Red and White from State
And we know we are the best.
A hand behind our back,
We can take on all the rest.
Come over the hill, Caroline.
Devils and Deacs stand in line.
The Red and White from NC State.
— GO STATE!!
Of our love and pride
