GROUND RULES:
1. Horses must visit the Steward once prior to entering their first class in the morning and
once prior to afternoon classes. All first place horses must return to the steward for reinspection following their class. This show is for sound horses only. No refund of entry
fees if found in violation.
2. Please leave a blank check with the show secretary.
3. Current negative coggins required.
4. All Day Pleasure classes are open to any gaited breed.
5. Cross entries allowed. Unless otherwise stated, all classes are open to amateurs or
professionals. Shoe sizes will follow NWHA rules.
6. Adult Beginner class: An adults only class for anyone in their first year showing.
7. Versatility and Adult Beginner classes: Neat attire requested. Formal English/Western
attire or tack is not required, but mixed tack (E/W) is not allowed. Western riders may
use two hands.
8. Novice classes: Open to horses/riders who have not won 3 blue ribbons in the last 5
years (excepting beginner pleasure). Proper attire required. Open to all gaited breeds.
9. All Day Pleasure and Country Pleasure western riders may use two hands. Western
horses under 5 years of age may be ridden in a ring snaffle.
10. Classes designated with (V) qualify for the PWHMD versatility high point award
11. Championship classes: Horse and rider must have exhibited in the indicated qualifying
class in order to enter
12. HELMETS REQUIRED for youth 17 and under!
13. Best of show – no class fee – open to any championship class winner
14. PERSONS ON FEDERAL DISQUALIFICATION MAY NOT TRANSPORT
HORSES TO THIS SHOW AND MAY ONLY PARTICIPATE AS A
SPECTATOR.
DIRECTIONS: FROM Manassas, Rt 28South at Rt 234 Bypass: Proceed South on Rt 28 for
about 4.5 miles. At the light in Nokesville, turn LEFT onto Fitzwater Dr. Follow Fitzwater
for about 1 mile, then turn RIGHT onto Aden Rd. Follow Aden Rd for ½ mile to park
entrance on right. Parkgate Rd. is directly across from the park entrance.
FROM Culpeper/Fredericksburg: Proceed to Rt. 28 North in Bealeton. Proceed from
Bealeton about 13 miles to Fitzwater Drive in Nokesville. Turn RIGHT onto Fitzwater Dr.
Follow Fitzwater for about 1 mile, then turn RIGHT onto Aden Rd. Follow Aden Rd for ½
mile to park entrance on right. Parkgate Rd. is directly across from the park entrance.
