
Qualification prescribed for admission: The minimum academic qualification for
admission is a pass in the final examination of 10 + 2 or its equivalent as specified in
JEE (Main) 2015 or any other examination equivalent to 10 
+ 2 level approved by
Association of Indian Universities for Graduate Studies in India.

Age Limit : The maximum age for admission to B.Tech. / B.Arch. programme is 25 years
on October 1st of the year. Date of birth as recordedin the Secondary Education
 as
Board/University Certificate only will be taken as authentic.


 Reporting for admission
 Venue: Lecture Hall Complex - Chanakya Hall. 
Date: On or before 27th 
July 2015.
Time: 9.00 am – 5.00 pm


First year Institute Fees (Tuition fee for one year and other admission time institute
fee): A B. Tech candidate has to pay Rs.82,100/- and a B. Arch candidate has to pay Rs.
82,150/- (which includes an extra amount of Rs 50/- for NASA Annual subscription). The
fee has to be remitted by demand draft drawn in favour of “Director, NIT Calicut” payable
 at State Bank of India, NITC Branch (Code No. 2207). 

 Hostel Fees: Rs.15,000/-. This has to be remitted by demand draft, drawn in favour of 
“Chief Warden, NITC Hostels” payable at State Bank of India, NITC Branch (Code
No. 2207). Hostel room rent and mess charges are extra and are payable every month.
However, there is an optional provision for advance payment towards mess fee and
room rent (approximately Rs.15,000 per semester)
which can be paid in another DD in

favour
of
“Chief
Warden,
NITC
Hostels”.

Note: The candidates who are reporting for admissions must be accompanied by one of
their parents or an authorized guardian (The authorized
guardian should possess the
authorization letter with photo identity from the parent).

Documents
to
be
produced
by
the
candidate
at
the
time
of
admission
:

The Originals of the
following documents have to be submitted at the time of reporting
for
admission:

1. Admission offer issued by Ministry of External/Cultural Affairs, GOI.
2. Fee receipt (if any) towards tuition fee paid to Ministry of External/Cultural Affairs,
GOI.

3. 10 standard / Matriculation or equivalent certificate in original.
4. Original mark sheet and Pass certificate of the qualifying examination.
5. Original School Leaving / Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended.
6. Original Character and Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended.
7. Character and Conduct Certificate from a Gazetted Officer issued after January
31, 2015 for candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in years prior
to the current academic year i.e., 2014-2015.
8. Physical Fitness Certificate issued by a Govt. Medical Officer not below the rank of
Asst. Surgeon (in the prescribed format as given in following link:).

9. Passport and VISA in original to prove the eligibility of FN candidature.
10. Ten copies of recent passport size photograph and one stamp size photograph

Note: (a) Copies of self attested / attested by a Gazetted officer of the above certificates
are to be brought at the time of admission.
(b) Candidates are advised to keep sufficient number of attested copies of mark lists
and other certificates for their future use, if any, since all the original
certificates submitted to NIT Calicut at the time of admission will be retained in
the Institute till the completion of the Admission process
(c) Candidate must be present in person for taking admission at NITC. Admission in
absentia (proxy) will not be allowed even on medical grounds.

The dates of orientation programme and commencement of classes shall be decided based
on the counseling schedule of JoSAA.


(c) How to reach the Institute
National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is located in a campus at
Chathamangalam, about 22 kilometers North East of Calicut city in Kerala state.
The institute is connected with Calicut city by KSRTC Buses starting form
Moffussil Bus stand/KSRTC Central Bus Station and by Private Buses starting
from Corporation Bus Station, Palayam (near Calicut Railway Station). Taxi and
autorickshaw are available from Calicut Railway/Bus Station to NITC. The nearest
airport is at Karipur near Calicut, which is 45 kms from the Institute.
