Forms are available at Admission Cell of the University, against the payment of Rs.1100/-only
by cash or through DD in favor of "Noida International University" payable at New Delhi or a
form can also be downloaded from the web site of the University, which can be submitted along
with a DD of Rs.1100/-. Those candidates who have been exempted from the Ph.D. Entrance Test
are also required to fill up the application form along with the payment of Rs.1100/- only by cash
or through DD.

ELIGIBILITY FOR APPEARING IN Ph.D. ENTRANCE EXAM
Noida International University announces holding of Ph.D. Entrance for admission to Degree

of Doctor of Philosophy on Saturday, 4 July, 2015 at Noida International University campus.
Condition of eligibility:
Master Degree in concerned subject with at least 55% (50% in the case of SC/ST/PH candidates)
from any University recognized by the U.G.C.
Exemption:
A candidate who has passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR /
GATE / Teacher Fellowship or M. Phil. or Uttar Pradesh State Level Eligibility Test (UPSLET)
conducted by appropriate authority or any other test conducted by any institution approved by
UGC will be exempted from appearing in the Eligibility Test. But, such candidates shall be
required to submit their application for Ph.D. study along with the prescribed fee of Rs.1100/- on
or before the last date mentioned in this advertisement. Otherwise, they will not be considered
for the admission.
Allotment of Seats:
(1) 50% weightage for JRF/NET/SLET/M.Phil, the rest of 50% weightage will be given to
Entrance Test.
(2) JRF students will be admitted first.
Note:
1. In case of M. Phil./NET/SLET/GATE Students, if the No. of Candidates are more than
the total No. of Seats. The Seats will be allotted based on external marks of P.G. degree.
2. In case of P.G. students, seats will be allotted based on the performance entrance test.
3. No student can claim the final Admission merely on the basis of JRF/NET/GATE/SLET/
M.Phil or Passing of Ph.D. Entrance. The Admission shall be strictly given on the basis
satisfactory presentation of their Proposal and Subsequent approval by the Research
Degree Committee (RDC).
4. Students can apply in concerned Interdisciplinary Subjects of their interest. The Final
decision shall be taken by the RDC.
Application Fee:
The Application fees of all categories of candidates is Rs.1100/- only by cash or through the
D.D. The Demand Draft should be sent in favor of "Noida International University" payable at
New Delhi on or before 15.06.2015 by 4:30 p.m. Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any
circumstances.
Scheme and Syllabus:
The test shall consist of the requirement of proficiency and skill in 'Research Aptitude',
General Awareness and the 'Knowledge of the Concerned Subject'.
Paper Style of Written Test:
The 'Entrance Test' shall consist of two papers; all the questions will be asked in the form of
multiple choice types of questions. The details are as under:
Paper I: Total number of questions will be 50 divided into two parts, and the total time given
will be 01 Hr. Part ‘A’ will contain 30 questions from General and Current Affairs
and Part ‘B’ will contain 20 questions from Research Aptitude. All questions will be
compulsory and there will be no negative marking. Each Question carries 01 Marks.
Paper II: Total number of questions will be 30 based on Subject Knowledge (up to Master Level
Course in the relevant subject). The total time given will be one hour. Each Question
carries 01 Marks.
Personal Interview: Personal Interview will be of 20 Marks.
General Instructions:
1. The application form may be downloaded from the University website www.niu.edu.in.
The duly filled application form shall be accepted in person at Admission Cell form
11:00 am to 4:30 pm on all working days along with the necessary fees prescribed for the
Eligibility Test.
2. Candidates must affix their recent passport size photograph at places indicated in the
Application form, Admit card.
3. Candidates must read the conditions of eligibility before submitting application form.
4. The Applications shall be submitted preferably in person only. Applications received
after the last date shall be rejected.
5. No TA/DA shall be admissible to the candidate.
6. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the Candidate.
7. Candidates must bring their proof of photo-identity at the time of examination.
8. The decision of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor shall be final in all matters of Entrance Test.
9. Admit card will be dispatched on or before 20th June 2015.
10. Bring the photocopy of Application form if not received the admit card.
11. Candidates are required to attach 02 (4 x 9 size) self-addressed envelope with the
application form.
