Somini Sengupta is the New York Times Resident Correspondent at the United Nations. She was previously The
Times’ bureau chief in Dakar and New Delhi and most recently wrote about technology and the law. She was born
in Calcutta, grew up in Canada and California and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. She is the
recipient of the 2004 George Polk Award for foreign reporting.
Wayne Cabot is senior news anchor with WCBS Newsradio 880. He joined the staff in 1988. after reporting and
anchoring for 1010 WINS and WFIL in Philadelphia where he worked as News Director. He studied political
science at Temple University. Wayne lives in Hunterdon County, NJ with his wife, two children, 3 cats and a dog.
His human interest reporting last year earned him the Father Judge NY Press Club "Heart of New York" award.
Sangwon Yoon is the New York-based diplomatic correspondent for Bloomberg News covering politics,
diplomacy, U.S. foreign policy, and national security issues at the United Nations and State Department. She was
formerly responsible for Bloomberg's coverage of political, government and security news on the Korean Peninsula.
She joined Bloomberg News in December 2011 after working in Doha, Qatar as an online producer for Al Jazeera
English, covering the Arab Spring, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Osama bin Laden's death and worked for the
Associated Press in Seoul and for Reuters in Jerusalem.
Ayman Mohyeldin is Foreign Correspondent for NBC News. He was one of the first Western journalists allowed
to enter and report on the handing over and trial of the deposed President of Iraq Saddam Hussein by the Iraqi
Interim Government for crimes against humanity and has covered the Gaza War as well as the Arab Spring.
Pamela Falk (Moderator) is U.N. Resident Correspondent & Foreign Affairs Analyst for CBS News TV & Radio.
Professor Falk teaches International Law and International Relations at Hunter College and is the Faculty Advisor
for the College Model U.N. Team. She is on the Human Rights faculty at Roosevelt House, and is a member of the
NCCA Advisory Council.
Robert Windrem (Moderator) is a former Research Fellow at the NYU Center on Law and Security. For three
decades, he worked as a producer for NBC News Investigates. During that time, he focused on topics related to
international security, strategic policy, intelligence and terrorism. He is the winner of more than 40 national
journalism awards for his work in print, television, and online journalism, including a Columbia-duPont Award,
mostly for his work on international security issues.
