Introducing Nodi
This collection of handmade rugs has been created by New Zealand
designer Olivia Smith, beautifully knotting together design influences
from Italy with handmade, traditional, Indian weaving techniques.
The result is a quality rug that is both simple and stunning, a rug
that adds warmth and dimension to a room.
Nodi. Italian for knots.
THE COLLECTION: JAIPUR DOORS
This catalogue introduces you to Nodi’s first collection, Jaipur Doors.
The inspiration for this first collection is taken from the bold and
intricate doors found in romantic and hidden palaces in Jaipur, India.
This collection is all hand looped, and hand tufted on looms by
traditional artisans. The base of the rugs is 100% New Zealand and
Indian wool to give a textured and hairy yarn creating an uneven,
unique surface. The detailing is 100% viscose ( regenerated from wood
cellulose) – a soft, lusturous fiber.

All of our rugs are hand made in India with
love, by artisans using traditional weaving and
tufting techniques. We are committed to using
only fair trade, legitimate factories that comply
with the international good weave standards,
supporting the fight against child labour. Our
artisans work in safe environments where they
are respected and treated like family.

Being hand made all of the rugs are slightly
different and no rug will ever be exactly the
same, giving it it's own unique beauty.
A 3% variation in size and 5% colour variation
in dyed wool is to be expected with hand
made rugs.
Lead time: approximately 9-11 weeks on
all orders.
