Isaac Delgado Society
For those who have made a bequest or
planned gift to the New Orleans Museum of Art
Philanthropist Isaac Delgado realized that a city
of New Orleans’ size and cultural and commercial
importance required a fine arts museum. In 1910 he
donated $150,000 for the construction of a building
for such a purpose.
For over 100 years, NOMA has continued to celebrate
Isaac Delgado’s vision. With a permanent collection of
nearly 40,000 works, NOMA is noted for its strengths
in American and French art, photography, glass,
decorative arts, and African and Japanese art.
Joining the Isaac Delgado Society
The Society celebrates those who remember NOMA in their estate plans or make a planned
gift to the museum. There are no dues or fees associated with membership. With permission,
Society members are recognized in special publications and receive invitations to exclusive
events at the museum. Most important, members of the Isaac Delgado Society know they are
ensuring NOMA’s standard of excellence for future generations.
All are welcome and qualify for membership in the Society by:

Naming the museum in a will
Designating life insurance policy proceeds to NOMA, or by donating an insurance policy
Making NOMA a beneficiary of a retirement plan, IRA, 401(k), or 403(b)
Transferring real estate to NOMA through life estate
Promising a gift of a work of art that the museum has agreed to accept
Your estate and planned gifts are used to help build NOMA’s endowment. Outright or
planned gifts of $100,000 or more allow you to create a permanent named endowment
fund. Endowments may be named for the donor or in honor or memory of others, creating
lasting and meaningful tributes. Please let us know your intentions so that we can be sure to
accommodate your wishes.
