Noront Resources Donations and Sponsorship

NORONT RESOURCES DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS PROGRAM
INFORMATION & ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Noront Resources Ltd. (Noront) is committed to actively supporting the communities surrounding our operations
in the Ring of Fire in Northern Ontario and those in which our employees live and work. While we are actively
involved in supporting ongoing and annual events in these communities, we give consideration to other funding
requests from non-profit organizations, local Aboriginal communities, municipalities, educational institutions
and other initiatives. The Noront Resources Donations and Sponsorships Program (NRDSP) is intended to
complement, not substitute for, Noront’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitments.
The NRDSP strives to support those with mandates that contribute to the economic and social development of the
before mentioned communities. Preference is given to requests which are in alignment with Noront’s key areas

In order to apply for the NRDSP, please complete the application form and write an informative letter outlining
the purpose behind your request. Please answer the questions below in your letter. If you feel that one of the
questions is not applicable to your request, please indicate so in your letter.

Please explain, in detail, the project/initiative for which you are requesting funding. Include the target
group of the project/initiative and the number of individuals who are expected to benefit from it.
Thoroughly discuss its expected outcomes and impacts (short term and long term).
 If you have received funding from Noront Resources before, please describe the success of the
project/initiative which the funding was used towards. If this is a recurring project/initiative, how would
you improve it and how can funding from Noront Resources enable you to do so?
 In what way is your project/initiative innovative?
 In what way is your project/initiative sustainable? Does this project/initiative have the potential to thrive
independently without ongoing support?
 In what way is your project/initiative collaborative? Does the project/initiative involve multiple
organizations and/or work across sectors or disciplines? Please include the current and anticipated
contributors and partners to the project/initiative.
 Are you committed to measuring the outcomes of the project/initiative and the specific outcomes
associated with the funding received from Noront Resources? If yes, how will you go about doing so?
An internal committee will review all applications on the first of every month. All applicants will be notified of
Noront’s decisions.
