Indonesia is believed to have been inhabited at least 1.5 million
years ago. Due to the many resources the islands of Indonesia
provide, trade is very popular for the Indonesian communities.
Many different races and ethnicities have moved to Indonesia,
therefore, giving it significant
diversity. For a long time, Indonesia
has struggled with its government.
During the fall of Indonesia’s
president, Sukarno, the Reformasi era
following his resignation has led to a
Strengthening of democratic processes.
What’s so interesting about Indonesia?
• One of the most interesting things
about Indonesia, is all of the
islands and natural habitat that remains undisturbed
by people. Indonesia has over 17,000 islands, yet
only about 6,000 actually are inhabited by people. It’s
amazing how even the islands that are inhabited by
people, contain so much wildlife and diversity.
