Summer Excitement in the Town
The Town of North Rustico has many
events planned for this summer.
Canada Day will kick off the summer
fun! Music in the Park will be on
Wednesday evenings starting July 8th.
Fun Days in the Park will start July 9th.
There will be various children’s
summer camps put on by Go PEI and
the Boys and Girls Club from
Charlottetown. Mary Smith will be
celebrating the 25th year for the North
Rustico Country Music Festival
(Fiddlers & Followers). Some other
events we are planning for the
summer include a Seashore Festival,
Fall Flavours, Out of the Sea and Over
the Coals, Ghost Tours,
demonstrations in the park and more!
We are always looking for volunteers
to help out with our events!
Fire Chief David Blacquiere
David Blacquiere, our Fire Chief
has advised the Town of his
pending resignation. The Fire
department will continue its hard
work in North Rustico with Scott
Wakelin acting as Chief until a new
Chief will be elected next year.
The Town would like to thank David
Blacquiere for all his hard work in
the Fire Department. He helped to
restructure the department and
brought in many new members.
The Town wishes David and Linda
all the best in their new chapter in
life.
Please rest assured that all fire and
medical services offered by North
Rustico Fire Department will
remain.

Entrance to the Town Office
The entrance to the Town Office is
located on the far left of the building
(by the entrance to the park).
Boutiques
All of our boutiques are filled and will be ready to open in June. The Town of
North Rustico will be operating its own boutique filled with local island artisan
products. The store will be called “Rustico’s Hidden Treasures”. If you live in
North Rustico or within the school district and wish to put something in the
boutique, please call the office at 902-963-3211 for more details.
Canada Day 2015
Welcome Centre
The Town of North Rustico has
been working hard to get ready
for the big day, Canada Day.
The new building at the end of the
Fire Hall is the Town’s new
Welcome Centre. The Welcome
Centre will be a hub for regional
and local advertising. We will have
a display for rack cards and
business cards and a board to
display all events.
Are you planning on decorating
your home, boat or business?
Have you thought about putting a
float in the parade?
This year marks the 50th year of
Canada’s flag. The theme for
Canada Day will be:
“Show us your flag! – North
Rustico celebrates 50 years of
the flag.”
If you have a business or event
and would like it advertised in our
Welcome Centre, please email
[email protected]
We are very excited for Canada
Day. The fireworks this year will
be bigger and better than ever!
Also, if you have a business or an
event that you would like on our
website, please send the
information off to Marley at the
email above.
