Rules and regulations
If players must use the washroom they can only use the washroom in the weight room. Signs will
be posted. Players enter the school through the back door nearest the field. NO WANDERING
PLEASE.
CLEATS OFF in the school
*Teams will receive 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss.
* In the Event of a Tie in round robin - the following criteria will be used in the order they appear to
determine the team placement. - the winner of the head to head match up in the round robin
game.- the team with the greatest number of wins - least goals against – most goals for.
* Should there be a tie after regulation time in Championship games, an additional 10 minute (two
5 minutes halves (change ends and start 2nd 5 minute half) golden goal overtime will be played. If
the game winner has not been determined after the overtime then a 3 player shootout will occur.
Each team will select players from those on the field at the conclusion of the overtime. These 3
players will shoot alternately, the team winning the toss kicks first.* If the game is still tied after the
6 penalty shots, the team having scored the first goal of the game will be declared the winner. *If
the game had no scores (0 - 0) the game will be decided by a coin toss. Rules and Regulations: As
per S.D.S.S.A.A. rules and regulations. Exceptions have been outlined above and below.
Substitutions: There will be unlimited substitutions which can be made at the following times upon
the referee’ s approval: goals scored, half time, injury, yellow card, and throw in (own possession).
Discipline: A player receiving a red card will be suspended for the remainder of that game and the
next tournament. The referee must submit a discipline report for the player to the tournament
convener for review or appeal. If a player receives a yellow card, the player must leave the field
of play (substitution is allowed). This player may return to the game at the next available
substitution time with the referee’ s approval.
Officials: All round robin games will have qualified referees (*no linesman) with the two
Championship games having both qualified referees and linesmen. *Round Robin may have student
volunteer linesmen, these students will not be qualified to call off sides. The referee will do
his/her best to make those calls.
