This year will conclude with our annual recital, "In Motion", on June 18th, 19th and 20th at Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver. Another rewarding competition season wrapped up at the end of May, when all of the students from our Performing Class Program and Solo, Duo & Trio Program participated in the Peak Invitational Competition in Whistler. Modern Faculty Changes and Additions We are sad to say goodbye to our Communications Director, Maureen Forward, who is retiring this June. Maureen has been a valued and important member of our studio for the past eight years and will be greatly missed. Steve Hedberg, one of our Parent Advisory Council members, is also stepping down and will be replaced by Frank Scherzer. Steve's contributions these past two years have been greatly appreciated. We are excited to welcome three new instructors to the NSAD team. Rina Watanbe, who trained with the Goh Ballet, Danzmode Productions, and Modus Operandi, taught a successful workshop at NSAD earlier this year and will be teaching Contemporary and Jazz next season. Christina Fitchett, who trained in ISTD Modern in London, England, will be bringing her expertise to NSAD as one of our Modern and Broadway instructors. Melissa Bosomworth, former professional ballerina and Yoga and Pilates specialist, will be sharing her wide-ranging skills and knowledge with our Half Day Stretch and Strength classes.
