PRESS RELEASE
“ZAMEEN SE FALAK TAK” (from Earth to Sky) – A Painting
and Photography Exhibition sale was organized on 16th May,
2015 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The art work
displayed was undertaken by children of the National Security
Guard in a competition held on 09th May, 2015 under the
theme “Flora & Fauna” of NSG Garrison at Manesar which is
spread over a sprawling 1612 acres of undulating terrain in the
Aravalli Range.
The aim of the competition was to create awareness
about the environment among the children and to highlight the
need for its preservation. The resources raised from the
exhibition/sale will be primarily used for Prerna Rehabilitation
Centre for children with special needs located at Manesar. In
this regard, a function was conducted on 14th May, 2015 at
Manesar in which Shri Nitin Rai, Noted Photographer gave away
the prizes to the budding talents of the NSG. Dr. Alka Pande,
Curator and Art Advisor, IHC, graced the occasion as Chief
Guest at the Centre and appreciated the tremendous potential
and imagination shown by the children in the art work. Noted
Art Professsionals, Mrs. Alka Saran and Mr. Rishi Gajbhiye
assisted in conduct of workshops for the competition.
The event was organized under the aegis of NSG Wives’
Welfare Association (NWYA) under the able guidance and
leadership of its President, Smt. Radha Chaudhury.
