How much water do you need?
Every day you lose water through your breath, perspiration, urine and
bowel movements. For your body to function properly, you must
replenish its water supply by consuming beverages and foods that
contain water.
So how much fluid does the average, healthy adult living in a
temperate climate need? The Institute of Medicine determined that an
adequate intake (AI) for men is roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of
total beverages a day. The AI for women is 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of
total beverages a day.
Benefits of drinking of water.
Water has amazing health benefits, and it helps us both on the
outside and the inside, helping us to both look and feel great.
We’re 60 percent water! We need water to do everything from
regulating our body temperature to maintaining proper function of our
fluid balance, digestive system, kidney function, and our body
temperature.

Drinking water can help overcome irregularity, promote a healthy

more clearly and fight fatigue.
It is recommended that you drink your first glass of water when you
get up in the morning. It is a great way to get your brain and your
