Stephen Powell
Mr. Stephen Powell is Chief Executive Officer and President of Synensis.
Mr. Powell is a recognized leader in the development of practices, behaviors
and strategies to improve organizational outcomes. He is a member of the
development team that created the TeamSTEPPS teamwork and
communication system for healthcare organizations. He has supported the
success of over 350 organizations in 11 countries to improve patient safety,
quality and the patient experience by creating a culture of safety. Mr. Powell
and his team strive to build healthier organizations that provide the safest,
most patient-centric care possible.
Jean R. Slutsky
Susan Frampton
Ms. Jean R. Slutsky is the Chief Engagement and Dissemination Officer at
the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). She leads
PCORI’s Engagement Program and growing dissemination and
implementation planning efforts. She also serves as Director of PCORI’s
Communication and Dissemination Research Program. Before joining
PCORI, Slutsky directed the Center for Outcomes and Evidence at the
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, where she conceived and
implemented the Effective Health Care program. The Effective Health Care
program is an integrated program of research, stakeholder engagement,
research training, and dissemination and implementation of comparative
effectiveness research.
Dr. Susan Frampton is the President of Planetree, a not-for-profit
advocacy and membership organization that works with a growing
international network of healthcare provider organizations across the
continuum of care to implement comprehensive patient-/person-centered
models of care. In 2013, Dr. Frampton was appointed co-chair of the
National Priorities Partnership (NPP), a collaborative of 52 major national
organizations convened by the National Quality Forum working to identify
strategies for improving safety, quality and patient-centered outcomes for
the U.S. health care system. In 2009, she was named one of “20 People
who Make Healthcare Better” by Health Leaders Magazine.
