THE GIVING WEEK
The “For Practitioner, By Practitioner” Network aims to provide a groundup and community-supported platform for working professionals in the
field to meet, network, exchange ideas and share experiences.
The Giving Week (1st – 7th December 2015) is a national movement
dedicated to giving back, and aims to promote and inspire giving,
whether in time, money, or skills. Individuals, corporates, and non-profits
come together to champion giving by creating their own consumer
driven initiative throughout the week.

PRESIDENT’S VOLUNTEERISM & PHILANTHROPY AWARDS
The annual President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards is organised
by the NVPC, with support from the National Council of Social Service
(NCSS) and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY). The
Awards Dinner is graced by our, President Tony Tan.
Nominations open in April 2015. Apart from taking part in the Awards
in one of the categories, corporates are welcome to be part of this
prestigious event as an event sponsor. PVPA 2015 takes place on 14
October 2015.

The Giving Week will launch all giving initiatives on #GivingTuesdaySG
and will also celebrate the spirit of volunteerism, by encouraging others
to recognise volunteer efforts on International Volunteer Day (Dec 5).

LAUNCH OF THE GIVING PORTAL – GIVING.SG
The launch of the Giving.sg will kick off in conjunction with The Giving
Week with meaningful campaigns created by influencers, celebrities,
corporates and charities themselves. Corporates can create a campaign
to raise funds for a registered charity or publicise their existing initiatives
to fundraise on this national giving platform.
