Do you like having a regional league in the North West?
Then we need You!
Canoe Polo is a rapidly growing sport in this country and we are trying to help bring the sport
forward and give many more people young and old the opportunity to play. Not long ago British
Canoe Polo was very London Centric and with some hard work by a few dedicated people, there are
now regional leagues around England.
Three years ago the North West and Central region league was set up running four divisions. It has
been run successfully by a small group of volunteers and Polo in the region has grown with new
teams forming around the region and giving University teams a forum for practice and development.
If you care about the league and would like it to continue growing, then the committee needs YOU!
We ask you to consider volunteering some of your time, in any small or large way you can, to help
share in the running of the league and development of the sport in your region.
Committee/Volunteer Positions required for the league to operate effectively:
Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, League Organiser, Divisional Organisers x 4.
Other Positions: Webmaster, Development Officer
All of these positions have been covered by 3-4 volunteers over the last few years.
There is a meeting to be held Saturday 28th March 2015 at 10am. This is being at Premier Meetings
St. Helens (A580/East Lancs), Garswood Old Road, St Helens, Merseyside. WA11 7LX. In the Heron
Suite.
Please spare the time to come and help shape the way polo in the region is run for the future.
